 Rev. Deanna Young
Pastor of Spiritual Formation dyoung@cc-um.org | Deanna provides leadership in the area of Spiritual Formation at Christ Church. She is a provisional Elder in the United Methodist Church. Deanna received her undergraduate degree from Sam Houston State University, a BS in Biology and her Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology, SMU in May, 2010. Prior to her call to ministry, Deanna was a fitness professional for over 20 years. Deanna and Scott have been married over 34 years and have three children—Scott, Cheryl and her husband Jason, and Victoria and her husband Erik. They have 7 grandchildren—5 boys and 2 girls. Deanna says, "I never thought I would love any children quite like my own children…then came my grandchildren!" Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." |
